Recently, our 5th and 6th graders participated in the Pocatello/Chubbuck D.A.R.E. program. They celebrated with an assembly where they listened to three students read aloud their essays that were chosen as great examples. They were also presented with their awesome D.A.R.E. t-shirts and certificates for graduating the program. The students loved their time with Officer Johnson!From the Pocatello/Chubbuck D.A.R.E. website: "The topics covered are how to make good decisions, facts about Tobacco, Tobacco advertising, Alcohol, Alcohol Advertising, Marijuana and inhalants, how to be confident, how to choose good friends, resist peer pressure and stay out of risky situations."
We are so happy our students can receive this training to give them courage, strength, and knowledge to face those risky situations!
